MARCH IN THE DARK

Walking in the forest in the dead of the night
Underneath the blanket of stars
Freezing in the biting midwinter wind
With an aching pain in my heart

Silent tears are falling down my dirty face
I can’t help but crying in this lonely place
I’m a desperado on the trail of tears
Year after year

On the march in the dark with a bleeding heart
Searching for the holy grail
On the march in the dark with a bleeding heart
Marching down a rocky trail

Wondering through the darkness in the no man’s land
Barefoot on the frozen ground
I don’t know where I’m going I don’t know where I am
Hungry wolves are prowling around

I’m a tired soldier wounded in the war
I have lost the reason I was fighting for
I have been defeated forced down on my knees
Fooled by destiny

On the march in the dark…

Marching and searching out in the cold
Crying and bleeding nowhere to go
I’ve been defeated and forced on my knees
Fooled by destiny

On the march in the dark…
