MetalCountdown is a community-driven music and video discovery platform dedicated to the global metal scene.
We provide:

  • Video and music discovery via embedded YouTube content Link
  • Artist and band profiles
  • Community voting and personal “Metal TV” channels
  • Optional premium memberships and fan clubs

MetalCountdown does not host copyrighted videos or music files.
All embedded videos remain property of their respective owners under YouTube’s Terms of Service.


2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Platform.
By registering, you confirm that all information provided is accurate and that you will use the Platform for lawful purposes only.


3. User Accounts

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials.
MetalCountdown is not responsible for any loss or damage resulting from unauthorized access to your account.


4. Artist Uploads

Registered artists and bands may upload and manage their profiles and submit links to their official music videos (YouTube URLs only).
By uploading or submitting content, you grant MetalCountdown a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, promote, and distribute that content on the Platform.

You confirm that:

  • You have all rights and permissions for any content you upload.
  • Your content does not infringe third-party rights or promote hate, violence, or illegal activities.


5. Premium Accounts & Payments

MetalCountdown may offer premium memberships that provide additional features (e.g. ad-free use, fan club tools, or Shout Out visibility).
All payments are processed securely through Stripe or equivalent third-party payment services.
All payments are final and non-refundable unless required by Swedish law.


6. Data & Privacy

We collect data to improve user experience and performance. This includes:

  • Cookies and local storage data
  • User preferences and interaction tracking
  • Analytics through Google Analytics and internal reporting tools Link

Personal data is handled according to GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679) and our separate Privacy Policy.

  • Harass or impersonate others

MetalCountdown reserves the right to suspend or delete accounts violating these Terms.


9. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
MetalCountdown is not liable for:

  • Downtime or technical errors
  • Loss of data
  • Third-party misuse or broken links
  • Content accuracy of embedded media


10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violating these Terms or any unlawful activity.
Users may request deletion of their account by contacting support.


11. Updates to These Terms

MetalCountdown reserves the right to update these Terms at any time.
Significant changes will be posted on the website. Continued use of the Platform after updates means you accept the new Terms.


12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden.
Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms shall be settled under the jurisdiction of the Linköping District Court (Linköping tingsrätt).
