"'Sleeper' is based on the myth about the king sleeping under the hill. It could be Charlemagne, Arthur, Friedrich Barbarossa. The hero awakens and speaks to a random passerby, asking him, "Are the eagles (or crows) still circling above the mountaintop?" The passerby (or mysterious voice) answers in the affirmative, and the hero then drives him away - "Go away! My time has not yet come."
Korypheus uses this folkloric plot as a starting point for reflection on the illusory nature, fragility of life and the mysteries of sleep. Sensual yet powerful voice of Laura Guldemond (Burning Witches) adds extra dimension to the story and imaginary dialog."
