The Fading is a melodic death/thrash metal band hailing from Tel Aviv, Israel. Originally formed in 2000 under the name Excessum, the band rebranded to The Fading in 2006. They gained international recognition after winning the Wacken Metal Battle in 2008, which led to a record deal with Wacken Records and the release of their debut album In Sin We'll Find Salvation in 2009 .​Jerusalem Post+4
