Jerusalem is a pioneering Swedish Christian rock / metal band from Gothenburg, founded in 1975 by Ulf Christiansson. Over the decades, they have fused hard rock and metal instrumentation with boldly faith-centered lyrics, becoming one of Europe’s earliest bands to do so. Their concerts have sometimes been more than just musical events—they’re described as spiritual gatherings with preaching, altar calls, and heartfelt worship. Their discography includes both Swedish-language and English-language albums, and their sonic style has evolved from raw, guitar-driven rock to more melodic and atmospheric sounds over time.
