"Eirikur: "Our new single “Name it to tame it” is basically a hard rock/metal song, but mind you, - there are
some strong prog-elements in it as well. Towards the end, our new drummer Martin goes bananas…by order."

Eirikur - About Maestro:

«We are proud to announce the release of our 6th album, - titled Maestro. It contains 6 songs in this order;
1. Opus Imperfectus Pt.1 - The missing chord
2. By the smokers pole
3. Name it to tame it
4. Kiddo
5. Someone else's wannabe
6. Everyday hero
7. Opus Imperfectus Pt.2 - Maestro

It is our hope and belief that "The Pie Army" around the globe will once again recognize our sound and style. As for the three previous Pie albums with me on vocals, Kim has composed the music and I have done the lyrics and the melodies on top of it. But Kim has his saying on
the melodies and sometimes he has some parts already written out.

To me, the essens of our co-work lies in the fact that he knows his Prog while my main influence is heavy metal, along with some flirting with "The Beatles" and "maestro" David Bowie.
This creates something unique (I hope) and gives us a special approach within the prog-rock industry.
I have even managed to squeeze in a Beatles title in one of our songs, - look for it!

"Maestro" is mixed by Jacob Holm-Lupo and mastered by Rich Mouser, who tragically lost his home and studio in the fierce fires in the Los Angeles area some few weeks back.
We got our new album delivered from Rich just 2-3 days before the fire.
We got lucky, but our thoughts are with you Rich. You have been such a big part of our success and we sincerely hope and wish for further cooperation with you.

A special welcome to our new drummer Martin Utby who has given us new energy with his energetic playing.
At the same time we sincerely thank our former drummer J.T. for his
longtime true service. Best of luck mate!

As always we present LP on bass and and "maestro" Erling Henanger makes his third album appearense as our key-wiz.
We hope you will enjoy this album as much as we do, and we look forward seeing you when we play some place nearby. Eirikur 2025
