Written and recorded at the same time as their critically acclaimed LP, THE UNFAILING ROPE, PASSAGES is a collection of five tracks that are a fitting accompaniment to the album, featuring guest appearances from Dylan Walker (Full of Hell) and Brandon Hill (Cloud Rat).
Continuing themes explored on THE UNFAILING ROPE, these songs deal with trauma, grief and darkness. SUNROT offer a glimmer of hope and optimism at the EPs close with a noise track overlaid with audio of experimental musician Sun Ra talking about the power of music. As the band turns to the task of writing new material, PASSAGES serves as a farewell to this iteration of SUNROT whilst the future stretches out in front of them.
