Gatsu channels raw alternative energy into classic sludge and doom metal. Inspired by bands such as High On Fire and Acid Bath, Gatsu Was formed in New Orleans by vocalist and guitarist Nicholas Troncoso, who led the charge with the “Boisvert EP” in April 2023.The band gained their full sound with Max Thyre’s heavy bass, and Josh Lehl’s relentless drumming.
